We complain of train crowd at peak hours. The body odour, breath in your face, the literal jamming of bodies against one another, etc. Eww....
There are children in our midst too. Pre-schoolers whose parents have no choice/preference to send them to a childcare centre near their offices. I see them early in the morning, bleary-eyed, having to stand (because the other passengers had shut their eyes - conveniently or not!) throughout the journey, all but silent, apparently accepting daily life as it is.
It is a lesson of endurance and acceptance to me, no matter how simple.
